The pool is heated, it's more an issue of being cold when they get out of the water if you're unlucky weather-wise.

Our kids did it in the fall of 2025 so no exact experience with the swim for spring. The pool was definitely heated and they were fine in the water. On one or two of the later October days they complained about being cold once they got out but took long hot showers to compensate.

We thought the instruction was good for our kids- they got some good stroke practice in and seemed to be improving. We will sign them up for spring as well to get ready for summer swim team. There were some older kids as well doing more intense laps, etc so it seems to be useful even for stronger swimmers.

We were not happy with FINS, but I think it depends on your level. The gap between the first level and the second is not realistic. The water is cold but not unbearable.

Has anyone done spring swim lessons with FINS at seven locks? The sessions runs from the end of April to the end of May. It says the pool is heated, but I know it can be quite cold at the end of April. I figure they wouldn’t offer it if it truly was freezing, but I’d appreciate any feedback on this location!
