This type of situation makes for a great ad for mobile homes.

I would strongly consider opportunities for your toddler as they grow up...what are the schools like? What would their peer group be like? This is all going to matter to you a lot very soon.

Going through this now but at different life stage. I love our house but I’ve decided it’s only a house! And if I think back, I’ve loved all our houses in some respect because I make them “our home.”

You should go. If you don’t and things stay the same, you will regret it. And last piece of advice, if you can afford it, you could move to new locale and rent ( and rent your now home) if you are at all on the fence. But, I say go. That’s what we are in the process of doing. Best of luck, and let us know!

Sounds like you’re just a little afraid of change and using the house as an excuse.
Move, go.

You’ll make the new house beautiful too.
You say it’s a better city, better job, you’ll likely make more friends and get settled before your toddler even starts school.
It takes 3 months to adjust after any move so don’t wallow in regrets during that time.

Move. Life is too short to spend it like that. Go find a community you enjoy!
