In the 80s and 90s? Absolutely. But I don't recall any of our now adult boys or their cousins wearing cologne in the 2000s or 2010s. This is coming out of nowhere. In the 2000s boys would maybe want those Axe body sprays or body wash. Those were only like $5! For a young boy to randomly request a $100+ bottle is very strange. Clearly some intense targeted advertising is occurring for young boys to want $100+ bottles of cologne.

CK One/ CK Be were big in the late 90s/eariy 00’s at my high school along with Ralph Lauren perfume/cologne.

Big diff between "bathroom Polo" like Carrie Underwood sang about and $150 bottle for a 12 yo. 12 yo boys should maybe want a specific Old Spice or Axe deodorant not randomly want to blow months of allowance on a bottle of cologne. This is some viral scam targeting young boys.

My 15 yo just got interested. He asked for some samples and I'm getting him an expensive gift set for his birthday of what he chose. I also got a dupe from BBW, there's a 75% sale going on on men's colognes and they have some good ones. $14.99 after 75% off is great for every day use Some friends at school bring their cologne to school and they all try it out. In middle school, this crowd was into Old Spice

Isn’t it strange and unexpected? My son is in 9th grade and last year was when he became obsessed with cologne. He still loves and it seems pretty common amongst his peers. For Christmas he asked for and got a set of cologne samples from Sephora that included a coupon for a full sized bottle of whichever cologne he liked best. Maybe your DS has a birthday coming up?

Yes, he has crushes on girls, so smelling better and caring more about hygiene and what he wears is normal. But his older brothers were never obsessed with cologne like he is. It's strange. I thought cologne was basically a dead industry? Why is a 12 year old boy obsessed with it?

My 13 year old got cologne for Christmas 😂. O wouldn’t say obsessed but he’s interested. This coming from someone I had to fight take showers all last year- so I’m all for it! Glad he’s taking interest in taking better care of himself.

I don't know where this could possible come from? He doesn't have any older male role models who wear cologne or anything like that; ex my husband, grandfather, etc. He suddenly wants to spend over $100 of money he's saved on this very specific bottle. And the last few times were at Nordstrom he was obsessed with smelling tons of different colognes.
