Both my kids had to submit proof of MMR (two doses) to their schools. For students who live on campus, they also had to submit proof of meningitis (two doses of both A and B).

We had to upload both kids vaccination records to their respective universities, one public and one private. One questioned one of our kids records, but it was fine (both are fully vaccinated)

Unlikely to be living in as close quarters with many other people in either of those situations as they likely will be in a classic college dormitory

I think we will soon see dorms that are opt-in exclusive to those who are vaxxed for the two above plus maybe flu as well. There are other dorms by theme. Why not that?

There might also dorms for the exclusively unvaxxed. They would no longer be protected by the heard around them, which makes their choice a little dicier. Personal responsibility? Sure. Personal consequence, as well.


How about not just dorms but colleges just for the unvaxxed. I don't want my kid anywhere near them - dining halls, classes, etc. If you don't want a vax stay away!

Yes. It’s listed in most of the colleges my kid has already been accept to and I remember my older kid uploading her vaccinations to VT.

Admittedly, I don't know if this will change with the new vaccine recommendations so it's worth watching.

All the ones I’ve checked require MMR and either require or recommend meningitis. All schools post this info. Google “[school name] vaccine requirements.”

I sure hope so.

I'm wondering if/how people have figured out what vaccines universities require. I truly don't want to send my kid to a university that doesn't require MMR, meningitis, etc to live in a dorm.
