OP here,

I don't think it's that subtle. These grandparents (on the other side of his family) are much classier than my family, which is why I needed to come ask for suggestions.

Eh, kids will glom onto the strangest stuff from books and TV shows. My 6 year old really wanted to try Kimbap after watching Kpop Demon Hunters, for instance.

And we all remember wondering about Turkish Delight after reading The Lion, the Witch, and thr Wardrobe.

Yes, I know this is a weird request.

My 4 year old nephew was visiting his grandparents and tried some escargot. He loved it, and has now decided that he wants escargot for his birthday dinner.

However, I do not know how to cook escargot, and I am quite confident I will not be able to convince his siblings to eat escargot. So, I am hoping that there is some restaurant that serves escargot and other things that I can take him to.

We're willing to drive, so anywhere in the DMV is fine. But we are not willing to drive to California where his grandparents live.
