Come sit by me, friend. I haven't showered since Christmas morning. I have been meaning to do a load of laundry since before Christmas and now need to do two loads. My tax stuff and holiday cards from LAST YEAR are still on my ottoman.

I want to hire someone to deep clean, but feel like I need to clean up first so they can get to things, but can't get myself to do that.

Yep. Days are still terribly short but no holiday things to look forward to (or just post-holiday exhaustion).

Hydrate, do gentle exercise to get your heart rate up a bit (swimming, yoga), try to still get some of that meager daytime sun, schedule hangouts or calls with people whom you feel calm around, maybe schedule a warm weather beach trip, wear soft clothes and nice pajamas, consider an SSRI or therapy if needed, be good to yourself and know that once you start moving and doing things you’ll start to feel better

I set an exercise goal of the kind I set for myself 6 years ago where I lost like 50lbs by the time the pandemic set in

I'm doing the same thing because I know I have to change direction.

What I'm figuring out all over again is no matter what I do the rest of the day, that 1 hour of effort and work gives me 23 hours of peace of mind vs. 24 hours of feeling uncomfortable and anxious in my skin
