I had no idea most people “did” something with their hair at night.

Wavy long hair, single braid at night. Reduces frizz and keeps waves smooth.

I'm white FWIW, AA people have it right about these bonnets.

Doesn't the satin bonnets make your head hot? Satin doesn't really breathe. Also night sweats too if you're in your 40s-50s.

I live in Downton Abbey, so my hair goes in a low braid. It’s at my bra strap when down.

Loose Pineapple style high pony tail. Length is just past my shoulders. Naturally wavy but I pull it up at night whether it’s wavy or straightened. I’m in my 50’s and I get way too hot if my hair is down overnight.

Nothing. Straight below shoulder length hair. I wash it daily so doesn’t matter what happens to it at night.

Silk lined bonnet. I'm a mid 50's white lady with straight-to-wavy hair two inches past my shoulders. It looks glorious and shiny when I wake up; brush and go with no more hot iron. Plus it no longer gets in my face or wraps around my neck in an annoying way while I'm trying to sleep. My sister and niece are converts, too. I'm never going back.

I wish scrunchies were still more of a thing but I haven't seen them in an age

scrunchies are fine and they don't rip out your hair like elastics do.

PS I mean sometimes I would sleep with the clip in my hair, but now I take it out and clip it back up first thing in the morning

Satin bonnet to protect my curls and make them last for days without washing.

Low pony tail? High bun? Down? How long is your hair and what do you do with it to sleep?
