Sweetie what are you blabbering about exactly. It’s being reported in the New York Times, BbC, CNN, MSNBC, Reuters, The Atlantic, Al Jazeera, WSJ, NPR, and other outlets. Maybe you should broaden your horizons when following the news.

Nope. Barely any coverage. Looking at WaPo and NYT now and doesn’t even make the scroll of headlines / major articles. Lots of coverage of the Swiss tragedy and Mamdani, though. CNN, WSJ are same. So no, it’s not getting the coverage warranted.

And to the poster who mentions “Zios”, we’re talking about Iran, not Israel. Different country and one that has been severely oppressed by an Islamist theocracy that has ravaged civil rights, brutally oppressed women, gays, and anyone seen as counter to the dictatorship for decades. Please don’t let your Israel Derangement Syndrome interfere with your understanding of what’s taking place in Iran, how significant it is, and how it’s so telling that the same people who are all about “freedom from colonizers” in the Middle East are strangely quiet.

First of all, a lot of people are traveling right now. It’s the holidays. Stop assigning a moral value to the speed of threads appearing here. If you want to talk about it, start a thread.

Also, many of us are following this. I don’t have a firm grasp on the cause of their current financial crisis that seems to be driving this. Long lists of human rights abuses are kind of dumb when what people are protesting is the very serious economic crisis.

The US needs to butt out of interfering in other countries business. It always turns out to be a disaster and with the clowns we have now in positions of power? What a scary thought.

Netanyahu only wants our money spent on his wishes so right now he’s bugging Trump about getting involved with randomly bombing Iran again. Bad move. Look at Britain and the US did Iran way back starting in the 1950s, then the Shah in 1979.

It’s being reported on and it will become big news if the protesters are successful .

It seems like a forced thing. After last year’s bombings, I don’t see how Iran would be keen for something as frightening as regime change right now.

There goes the Zio-boomer with his tired talking points

Note to him: most of us are very concerned about America right now. We do know what is happening in Iran and don’t give a ——- about it or what it means for Israel. L

Crazy more people aren’t supporting overthrowing a regime that executes gay men, stones to death women who engage in premarital sex, amputate fingers as punishment, and kills domestic violence survivors like this case the UN documented:

GENEVA – UN human rights experts* today urged Iran to halt the execution of Goli Kouhkan, a 25-year-old undocumented Baluch woman set to be executed this month.

“Kouhkan’s case exemplifies the systemic gender bias faced by women victims of child marriage and domestic violence within Iran’s criminal justice system,” the experts said. “Carrying out the execution would constitute a grave violation of international human rights law.”

Kouhkan was forced into marriage at the age of 12 to her cousin and subjected to years of physical and psychological violence while working as a farm labourer. At 13, she gave birth at home without medical care. When she attempted to escape the abusive marriage, her efforts were unsuccessful due to her undocumented status and societal pressure.

In May 2018, when Kouhkan was 18 years old, her husband beat both her and their five-year-old son. After a relative was called to help, a confrontation ensued which resulted in her husband’s death.

Well, that was a word salad. The NYT has been covering it daily. I've read at least two articles.

Did you miss a word or two there? Op’s point is that the people of Iran are fighting back and holding demonstrations against the oppressive Islamist government, but there does not seem to be any coverage from the mainstream media, nor are groups that traditionally support human rights like Amnesty International speaking up about it.

+1
Doesn't fit the narrative.
