Northern Spain is not warm. One issue is that the NW coast is very rainy though so you could go there and end up with no visibility. A lot of people are going to Leon or Burgos. From there you could go to San Sebastián which is glorious. There are extensive website discussing microweather patterns across central Spain in connection with the eclipse.. I was trying to figure it out but there was a lot of discussion about plains and mesas and cloud cover and I sort of gave up.
