The baseboards and crevices are always horrifying. Tell the new owners that it is your gift to them. They will be thrilled.

We had to sue the previous owner over rotting food and human body fluids.

last house sale, the well pump broke two days before closing. cleaning is nice (especially the fridge and the bathrooms), but the contract requires "broom clean". ymmv.

OP its a nice gesture.
We didnt have time to do a deep clean prior to move-in since it was literally the day MD shut down when we closed and the buyers moved out the same day we moved in. No joke- they still had a pod in our driveway that was delayed getting picked up because of staffing issues. My next house purchase will 1000% have it done and any work we want performed beforehand.

But if you have a business you like, ask them for once last clean. Leave their card with a note to the buyers and stocked toilet paper along with well wishes.

I wouldn't worry about it. They won't try back out because they find crumbs. They should be hiring people to do a very deep clean before they move their stuff in.

I am closing next week. Any cleaning tips? I want them to walk in and be happy all over again about their choice.

I am nervous lol. I keep thinking about so.many things that could go wrong, so I just want to focus on what I can control.and cleaning the place is something I have total control over.

Is it worth hiring someone to clean the place? It's s a small house 2k sqft, so I feel like that money could be spent better elsewhere.
