My friend is as you describe. She met her current bf through mutuals in her involvement in the art world.

I take art classes, see theater and concerts but always with a girlfriend.

DCUM forums.

Lectures, events, seminars that focus on literature, art, philosophy. Programs at the Smithsonian come to mind.
