I know a ton of people with BMWs, and none of them have made it past 100k without significant and expensive repairs. None of them. Perhaps they work well for a few years, but dump them before they hit 75k.

BMW ranked Consumer Reports (2026): Ranks #1 in Luxury Brand, #5 in New Car Reliability, #6 in Used Car Reliability, but #25 in Maintenance & Repair Cost.

I think you should take an afternoon, go to Carmax and sit in all these cars. Some you listed are different than others. For example, the Outback is a nice SUV but I wouldn’t categorize it as higher end. Then I would drive the SUVs that make your short list.

Looking for a higher end SUV. I have an Acura MDX now, but I no longer need a 3rd row. So looking for a replacement that's a little smaller. Currently considering -

Volvo XC 60
BMW X3 30
Subaru Outback
Acura RDX
Toyota Crown Signia
Lexus NXF Sport AWD

any thoughts?
