how much you pay for premium and out of pocket
Your employment situation
Age and family /dependents , if any
Family of 4, 2 kids age 1 and age 7. High healthcare utilization. Insurance is through my FT employment and we declined my husband's fed insurance as secondary.
Premium is 325 per paycheck, my organization covers the remainder of the premium (around 70%). We have no OOP costs for in network services until 4k then we are responsible for cost sharing. ER is 150, Urgent is 50, primary 20, specialist 25.
We definitely spend 4-5k OOP easily because we pay OOP for contacts for me (800 per year), glasses for me (400 every 2 years), dental visits for all OOP (1400 for all 4 of us, my DH doesnt go often enough so its normally 1000), co-pays, labs, pharmacy, and other services. My daughter has severe allergies and last year we visited the ER 2x. We will be doing OIT next year so that's 500+ in copays right there going every 2 weeks.
