Francesca's has a line kids clothes kids called Franki and Abercrombie has a kids line that look more like clothes older tweens or teens would wear. These two stores were great for my DD who was very petite and still fit into kid sizes even through her first year of high school.

aerie, but only for tops
Dick's DSG brand in kids section for tops and flared leggings
Target's art class brand (tween brand in kids section)
Target's wild fable brand (juniors), for tops only
Old Navy boys' section for sweatpants

I would search for juniors sizes. My DD has always been tall, and by the time we realized there are juniors sizes she had bypassed all those sizes. But at least the types your daughter is into are meant to be oversized.
H&M has some larger girls sizes online.

Tillys has a kids sized section. Closest physical store is at Potomac mills (ouch!) but they also have a website .

Pac sun has jeans in a sz 22 waist. You’d have to hem them. But they might work.

Lululemon sz 0 is insanely small especially in certain styles.

Tilly’s has a kids section - there are many styles that are mini versions of the junior clothes - you may have to order online as I’m not sure they have any west coast stores.

My DD is 4’10” and 74 lbs. we recently did the same and of all the stores that teens shop at, only clothes at Abercrombie & Fitch kids and Old Navy had clothes that fit her. She needed size 12 for the waist, and also that has the adjustable wait.

She swam in clothes from holister, American Eagle, and all the other teen stores were way too big - size 000 looked ridiculous on her.

The kids section at Nordstroms all had some cute stylish clothes, and more brands to choose from. Again, looking at size 12 with adjustable waists.

Nordstoms children's section has lots of more mature items.

Thanks for the suggestions. Will try Abercrombie and Fitch. DD isn’t really into the gap and Old Navy.

Gap kids jeans and leggings fit my small kid well, and aren’t visibly “kiddie.”

The target teen brand runs small as well - Wild something

You know Gap runs small typically - good for thin or small.

I'd look on Amazon - my very fashionable DD loves it - it's like shopping 100 stores at once lol!

Trying to think of others but alas, most of the brands I can think of are pretty much avg sizes. There's nothing wrong with just sizing down on fashionable brands from Nordstroms or just big brands? Good luck!

DD (6th grade) wants age appropriate clothes (oversized hoodies, sweats, baggie jeans). Most of her friends are now close to 5ft so they can wear teen brands which swim on DD. Can you suggest brands similar to Hollister, Dandy (or dupes), AE etc…that would fit a small 6th grader (4’6” around 60 lbs)?
