Our private counselor told us not to tell the school to make sure the school counselor was working her hardest for our child.

DC1 went to public school so it didn’t matter much. DC2 at large Catholic high school and it’s unclear how involved the counselor will be. It sounds like more than at public school but may be more hands off if kid seems fine on their own. I would sort of like to see how different the guidance is. But, most importantly I don’t want confusion or conflict for DC. Any advice on whether that’s best achieved by sharing there is a private counselor or not saying anything?
