My kids loved it at Barnsley. They are out of college now but about 7 25: Sunday nights they would run to put the phone on speaker for Mr Winters message.

I agree just don't pick up if it annoys you.

I like the weekly phone call / email, which is school-by-school I think. We received it from middle school, but not from elementary or high school.

Agree with the PP that noted how some communication has become over-the-top sentimental and lacking substance. It happens when you let AI do the writing for you. So many adjectives.

I have multiple kids in multiple schools and this honestly is not a concern. I read the principal newsletters each week so I'm informed about the on-goings at my kids schools and within the district. If them communicating in multiple ways annoyed me I'd update the communication settings in ParentVue or ignore the duplication. I just consider this being an engaged parent and reasonable adult. Difficultly level = 1.

THIS THIS THIS!! I try to search "picture day" or "yearbook" to get specific info and nothing pops up since it's all in a newsletter link! Can't someone copy/paste that into an actual email!

90% of the information I get from MCPS is irrelevant to my child. Meanwhile getting specific information about my child such as missing standardized test results takes multiple email requests to multiple people.

Yes. And you can't block the number because it's the same number the school calls from if your kid is injured.

Just push Decline on the phone call. You'll also get the email and the text 30seconds later.

Here’s a suggestion, ignore the call and then delete the voicemail. Read the email version or don’t as you see fit. Then go into ParentSquare and opt out of phone calls in your settings.

I am serious because there is no real information. It is a completely fluffy waste of everyone's time. I don't need to feel like I'm best buds with the principal.

Our ES doesn't, but if they did it wouldn't bother me. Why don't you just let it go to voicemail if it bugs you so much?
