This Chairman is extremely indecisive. The rumors of realignment is just that - rumors. The point to all this madness is to actually not do any meaningful work. There is still no GC. A judge with no securities law background as its ENF director. An acting director in Exams with no securities law background either. The morale is low. More people have been checking out.

Why would they be hiring when they're scaling back?

They won't be to any significant degree. There is no budget and for all intents and purposes, a hiring freeze. Enforcement and Exams are the divisions this Chairman cares least about. Evidenced by the fact that Exams still has an acting director and he hired a judge with no securities law background as the head of Enforcement.

The whole place will have some realignment because so many people have left. This Chairman moves unbelievably slow so maybe it will get done before 2028. Maybe they will do another VERA before doing them. I hope so. I’m finally eligible this spring.

They really should wait. A win for the Union in arbitration plus management appealing and not offering any telework will surely drive more people to leave.

Yes. They’re merging a couple of small offices and reducing head count by 1 percent. HUGE “realignment”!

I know there is talk of the realignment, but when is this going to actually take place?
