Just think what you're average American vehicle (an F150 or a big SUV) would do to that micro car in a crash. They aren't safe.

You can get a Fiat or a Mini in the US and that's about as small as it gets.

They are unsafe. Small cars do not sell well in our country. Just by yourself a Corolla and complain about it being too big for you!!

Take a look at the Fiat 500. Older model year but can still find new on dealer lots. Does that meet your definition? Gas powered as well.

Most of the tiny cars in Europe and Asia are not street legal in the US. The US has substantial safety requirements for vehicles driven on public roads. People who personally import cars from other countries have to spend a lot of money to make them street legal in the US.

Those Mercedes Smart cars used to be everywhere but I rarely see them now.

They exist in Europe and in all other countries and continents

But I can’t find any way to buy one in the US. And I’ve never seen one on the highways or byways.

I know they are electric or at least hybrid … but can you not even buy one here in the US even if you wanted to?
