Look on Outschool for a tutor with lots of good reviews. Its very flexible, all online, and you can schedule around your daughter's schedule.

I taught SAT for Kaplan. Yes, there is trig on the SAT. But there is very little trig on the SAT. If she's struggling in trig, just get her a math tutor. And if trig is her only big problem I wouldn't worry too much about the SAT, like I said, there just isn't that much on there.

OP. Have you or DH tried helping her? I'm not so sure studying with friends is a good idea.

My suggestion: go back to the beginning of the course with her and work from there. It may she missed some key steps in the process. I say that as someone who does NOT love math.
You have a free week ahead. Spend 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the evening going over the course. See if you can figure out the problem.

And, the suggestion of a college student might be good--but, remember that being good in math does not necessarily make you a good teacher.
But, if she has been struggling since the beginning of the year, then I would go back to the beginning and build from there.

But for sat prep we did prep with Jen. It was good.

Pp here. We have found math tutors for 60-90 an hour. If the problem is trig right now then that’s what I’d focus on. Or perhaps a college kid home now that you know was excellent in math for a lower price?

Private tutors are expensive. I was looking/thinking about centers, such as Kumon, Mathnasium, Sylvan and such.

I actually looked into Kumon because my youngest just started there ( ES), and they were the ones who suggested a SAT prep course because they don’t feel they can help her at this point since their method doesn’t match FCPS curriculum.

How many sessions would such a student need with a private tutor?

My sophomore is struggling in Trigonometry and it was suggested to me to put her in a SAT prep course.

We live in NoVA (Reston Area) - can you recommend a course/class?

For context, this child has always done very well in school, including Alg I, II, and Geometry.

She requested to change from Trig honors to regular, but during her 504 meeting she decided she wanted to keep in honors.

I was VERY upset about this and miffed at my husband for allowing it (I was not present because it was supposed to be a very straight forward thing), because I thought her reasons to keep taking honors were not sound.

While she has been improving and tells me to “not worry,” I can’t help but worry. She has an F for goddess’ sake!

She has been studying with friends, but I rather pay for classes and a SAT prep was suggested to me.

Anyway, any suggestions?
