Party starts at 7 tonight. What do you think this entails? This could be that they have a tendency to use foul language after a few drinks and just don't want kids there?

Frankly, I would rather just lay on the couch tonight and watch Hallmark movies, especially after reading more into the invite. I'm not a party person and neither is DH. I also tend to be quiet at these kinds of things, especially when I don't know anyone. Looks like 60 people RSVP'd yes.

When I commit to something, I go. But, if I had discovered last minute that the invite was no kids because possibly nudity, I think I would suddenly come down with a cold. Don't want to spread germs this close to Christmas. The only other options seem to be go and see what happens this one time or ask another neighbor that you might be friendly with if it is a joke.

Yeah that's how I would take it as well. I'm picturing the type of parties I went to in my early 20s, which definitely wouldn't have been kid appropriate.

I interpet that as they are hard drinkers and rowdy so no kids. And I hate the ugly Christmas sweaters. I'd pass because that's not my scene but I don't think it means anything sexual.

OP. Ahh, you know, I didn't even think of that. That's definitely a good way to put it if they really dont want children at the party!

I think they just really, really don't want to be responsible for kids, so they put that line in there because there are people who will bring kids otherwise.
