Yes, Cathedral schools are both switching up their schedules which will give more free time in the day. They will cover less material but it will be less of a grind.

Currently have one at Sidwell as well, and thinking about the scheduling differences between Sidwell and STA and how that impacts their day. A lot to like about both schools but familiar with the A/B schedule nd not the 7-day rotating schedule.

They are switching to a new schedule next year. I'd ask admissions about the plan.

Yes, that's exactly what it does. In the upper school, the boys have more free time to meet with teachers during office hours and study.

Can someone please explain the seven-day rotating schedule with six blocks? I'm assuming that makes for longer class periods, but does it provide free periods or breaks during the day like Sidwell/GDS or other schools that use the A/B block schedule? Thanks in advance!
