It's basic.

I wouldn't call it frumpy but it looks awkward. The handle is too short to carry it on your shoulder, but it's too big for a hand bag. Like it's trying to be in-between and just fails at both size options.

It's boring.

I like it! Doesn’t strike me as frumpy, but then maybe I’m a frump and too uncool to know it.

It’s just a practical shopping bag. I use one as a travel purse but I’m under no impression it’s some fashion statement.

No, not frump. Actually one of the least frumpy totes I've seen. I especially like it in the brown. I'd want to see how it actually felt on my shoulder (my main concern is that it might be rigid in a way that would make it awkward to carry over the shoulder) but it looks like a great day-to-day bag.

And no, it's not frumpy at all. Not my style, but it's actually quite classic and sleek.
