If it is mcps, I hear that it is 3 days 2 nights, and parent can volunteer ( same sex parent can sleep overnight with same set kid room). They will be well fed even though for picky eaters. My both kids are AuDHD with anxiety. I will not volunteer with the son because he already did sleep away camp at age 9. He can definitely handle it. I would consider to volunteer as a parent for my daughter unless I see more independence and maturity from her in next few years.

Our school recruits parent chaperones, if that is an option for you.

My school offered a day only option, which was great for us to at least sleep well and have that time to decompress. See if your MS offers that (more common at majority-minority schools).

For those of you with 6th graders, how are you/how did you handle outdoor ed?

Our DD is AuDHD with anxiety. I do worry about regulation issues.
