Sometimes that works better than AAU. Talk to the trainers and let them know the situation. I would talk to other similar training outfits to see what they say too. Not familiar with "you reach, I teach”, but there are some crooks in the basketball training industry.

Agree. AAU can be a waste of time - a few minutes in three games that takes up a whole weekend.

Definitely doing that will help. Someone I know whose son starts for a top HS and probably will play D1 ball in college focused heavy on skills and it really paid off. A place like ireach where they do group training also lets your kid work with other kids to put the skills to the test.

DS is getting very limited playing time on his JV team. If he doesn't improve before next season, he will most likely be cut. His skills were best after he did an AAU local travel team. Unfortunately with multiple family members doing competetive sports, we don't have time to do AAU for him as well. I could swing group basketball classes at a place like you reach, I teach in gaithersburg. I know they do a lot of scrimaging. Would something like this 10 hours a week work as well as an AAU local travel team...
