2. When you do eat, you need to make it nutritious since itâs a very small quantity. If you donât prioritize protein, youâll lose all your muscle.
3. I had zero cravings for sweets, coffee, or alcohol. High fat foods (fried or dairy) made me immediately nauseous.
I'm finishing my 3rd month of Zepbound - self-pay through LillyDirect. I've lost 20 pounds, and I am on 5 mg (227 to 207). I'm moving up to 7.5 mg just to see if it kills my desire for any alcohol. But my poops have been a lot more solid, which is nice. Minor panic attacks have disappeared (like when driving over a tall bridge). I'm at the gym at least 5 times a week doing real weight machine lifting - wanting to keep my lean muscle mass. No side-effects to date, and I might go back to 5 mg if 7.5 makes it difficult to make myself eat (and sometimes it is a challenge at 5 mg). I do a mega protein shake (with whey, fiber, Collagen, Creatine, etc...) every day around 11 a.m., and stop eating at night around 7 p.m. (intermittent fasting). I try to drink enough water, but usually about 120 ounces a day, and 150+ grams protein a day. Not sure where I will end up, but I've definitely built up some muscle even while in a daily calorie deficit. The dad bod is mostly gone, except for some handles, but my focus has really been to get rid of the visceral fat (youtube it, you'll see how disgusting it is). But once I find my weight, I'll look into compounding facilities to see if there is a cheaper way to mainting - but the prices do see to keep coming down on Zepbound.
