I like having rent control. If I moved out and moved back in the same day my rent would go up $800 minimum, which I can’t afford. I hate everything about my apartment. For the first three years I lived here I was so uncomfortable I had hives.

It's a prewar apartment. I love the scale, the high ceilings, and the classic architectural details. I don't love that we're stuck with window units for AC and a 100 y/o steam heating system.

We built our house after we had all our kids so it suits our needs very well, which I appreciate on a regular basis.

One thing I would change is that I wish it were more decorated. After building and decorating it some, we were just wiped so we need to find the energy and money to add more personal touches to it.

I love my home. The only thing I don't like is how overwhelming it is to be a homeowner and I do not have a handy DH at all. I also keep having handypeople in my home at a minimum because we are busy and I have anxiety.

It's a real conundrum. I have a power washer and will tackle the shed as soon as it's warm. Just how I want to spend a weekend

Location, easy to get to from multiple ways, plus walkable to schools and some retail/restaurants

Comfortable, for us as a family and for guests, not stuffy

Outdoor space that is fun for little kids and big kids to hang out

Home - we designed it to work for our family from a renovation/total gut plus addition almost 20 years ago. It still works, even though all the rooms have gone through makeovers through the years

It’s huge and luxurious.

We need a full time landscaper and it’s going to be us because we’re retired now. We have no clue how to do it and don’t want to spend the money to hire it done.

Love - mudroom!

Minor annoyance- We have three light switches in various rooms that don’t seem to control anything. Would love an answer to those riddles!

We only have one bathroom on the bedroom level (there’s another in the basement). I would love an en suite so much.

But otherwise it’s pretty great.

It has loads of old house charm. But it’s freezing cold in the winter.

Wish I had more full sun spots in my yard for growing veggies.
I like most of it— not too big but big enough, and holds memories.

Corner lot, so not as close to neighbors, have to shovel more when it does snow.

I have a really great “hobby room” I use for hobbies, workouts, etc. It has big beautiful windows with lots of light and overlooks my backyard, which I love.

But the rest of the house has like NO light at all. Very few windows. It feels like a cave.

It feels cozy.
It could be less cluttered.
