Having been through this process, nothing should surprise me . . . but this actually does. For K, especially. And for Trinity, which probably has all of six K slots for unconnected kids.

Funny enough, some woman posted on Facebook about getting good feedback from Trinity for K but was told they have less than 10 spots for non sibs/legacies. lol. So

I got the sense it’s more about remembering the child when they are in committee but who knows.

It started in covid when they weren’t able to meet kids. Now I guess it adds more color to the application?

HM and Riverdale still use the FLI which is also a product of covid. That is interesting to hang onto because they can assess kids in person. Why did they keep it and how much weight does it carry? Who knows.

It can show off special talents in some cases - even a 5yo might show some early promise at, say, soccer or dance or violin or singing at a level that an admissions officer could appreciate it.

We did a montage. Natural moments mixed in with activities we intentionally filmed.

We had out interview but still need to submit the "optional" 60-second video. Does Trinity tend to prefer one continuous clip, or is it a short montage of a few natural moments ok? Would love to hear what others have done or heard. Thanks!
