Young adult kids here still get a few gifts from Santa. And woe is the child who forgets to leave some cookies for the big guy n Christmas Eve. I can say with certainty He will not be pleased. Now the adult “kids” debate which types and how many cookies to leave. They seem very into it.

Always. Until I had my own kids "santa" signed my gifts.

I remember being 10 and being surprised my parents were able to slip money under my pillow as the tooth fairy. It was still sweet to me.

This. "Santa" still brings my teens their big gift and they still put out cookies and milk. The "tooth fairy" came for every baby tooth.

I got paid for each baby tooth and would have been irate if it stopped! I knew the fairy wasn't real but it made tooth wiggling, pulling, falling out less creepy.

We still do both for my 9 and 12 yos. I don't think they really believe, but both enjoy the tradition.

I don’t think you have to stop either necessarily - it still is fun when you know both aren’t real but you receive something 😆 I would’ve loved getting my wisdom teeth out and seeing a dollar under my pillow at 25

We don't celebrate Christmas, but tooth fairy came until all baby teeth were gone. The last few teeth, it was obvious that DS didn't believe, but who cares?

Whoever wraps the gifts gets to decide who the gifts are from. Also if you want to give a tooth fairy gift who would stop you? Tell your husband to focus on what matters.

I think both of my kids were 7 or 8. My older one helped me keep the magic going for the younger one once she figured out the truth.

Tooth fairy comes until the baby teeth are gone. Santa comes forever.

My approach was to tell the truth about Santa and the tooth fairy once asked directly. For my three kids that was all around 9 or 10. One of my neice’s still believed in Santa later, and my sister made the decision to tell her before she started middle school.

As for when gifts end, I’m 49, and my Christmas gift from my parents says “from Santa”. Obviously everyone knows, but it’s nice

When I'm at my parents' house for Christmas, I put stuff in their stockings.

Our college kids still get a few presents from Santa - tell your DH to stop being a scrooge!

My kid is 18 and I still write “Santa” on the name tags.

As for teeth, I stopped around 10, maybe? I don’t quite remember, but they had lost so many teeth and I would forget to put money under the pillow and I’d have to stay up too late until it was “safe” to sneak into their room. That’s when I knew it was over.

Child is 10 year old, and he has asked me once before if I am the tooth fairy & if Santa claus is real. I did not answer, and I chose to ask him what and why. He did not follow up and end there. Tooth fairy gives him a few dollars & small gift, and Santa claus gives him a few presents. He still has a few teeth to lose in next few years. We have a younger child at home that never questions tooth fairy & Santa claus.

DH says 10 year old is too OLD for tooth fairy to give him something to return, and maybe we should stop Santa claus in a 1-2 years for him. I want to cintune tooth fairy till he loses all baby teeth, and maybe end of middle school for Santa claus. What do you think? I dont want both the older & younger one to get upset and disappointed. DH thinks I treat him like a baby, a bit too much.
