Mom of teen life: Sunday edition

I woke up at 7:30, had coffee with my husband. Worked for 1.5 hours at the kitchen table (and yes, some internet too). Talked my kid for a little. Showered and finished laundry. Ate 1/4 of a sandwich. Ate another 1/4 of the sandwich. Went to test drive a BMW. Came home and wrapped gifts while watching three episodes of The Morning Show. Gonna make tacos and eat with my family when my kid gets home, then I'll watch more tv, then read in bed.

Great day.

Moms and dads do that too sometimes. So what's the point of your post OP?

If your single girl life is so fulfilling, why are you on DCUM seeking validation and attention about how you spent your day? Just live your life! People don’t need to know what time you woke up or whether you got dressed.

I think OP protests too much and is desperate for validation.
Who cares if you sleep until noon? As a single girl I was up early on weekends and at the gym. Maybe try that.

Haha, that was me in graduate school. My roommate would be back from biking for 4 hours while I was still in bed reading.

Made a lovely brunch for myself accompanied by lovely coffee, doing laundry, tidying the house, eating Xmas chocolates that just arrived via dash link, watching true crime in the background to remind myself of all the reasons that the single life is superior - in my opinion, which I’m entitled to.

I woke up at 6. Made coffee. Cleaned the house (townhouse). Went to Michael's and Target. Came home, cooked some spaghetti squash. Hung some curtains. Caught up on a project. Did 2 loads of laundry including bedding. Now watching Netflix and sitting on the sofa under a blanket with some tea.

I rolled over to Target at 9:30 to get toilet paper and a birthday gift for my nephew. Came home, watched an hour of Netflix, then cleaned up the kitchen and am making lunch. Texted my dad and aunt happy birthday, and might throw out trash later. Will read my book and do a bit of bank stuff for sure. Might take an afternoon nap.

I am happiest when I've been productive.
