What he wanted was credit for asking. He didn't want to have to do anything, and by messing up, he's ensured you won't take him up on his offer next time.

I'm guessing that if he had apologized and shown more care and affection, you would forgive him for not getting exactly what you wanted. But the problem is that he treated your coffee order and your needs in general in too cavalier of a fashion.

He made excuses for not getting what you asked for.

This can’t be the fist time he’s done that

Usually I don’t really ask him much to get/pick up things for me but I felt like having a hot coffee this morning. I asked him to text me an americano.
He came back with a regular drip and said he couldn’t get what I wanted bc the workers are on strikes and it would’ve taken too long to for them to make in the drive thru line. I asked if they really said that and he said yes and scoffed. He also said he had to wait in a long line to get the coffee for me. I guess it would e been nice to hear ‘I was happy to get it for you’ but that rarely happens ,if ever.
Anyway, just a vent and vent over.
