Same. I am in my 40s and definitely aware of the eggplant emoji so it just seems unnecessary, there are other cute cases.

+1 Hopefully younger kids don’t know this, but older kids will and could say something. Just get another one.

I would not get this case. Probably no 3rd grader will know, but some have older siblings. It just isn't worth it. And if my 53 year old a$$ knows, probably some elementary kids do

I didn't even think of the eggplant reference when looking at this phone case, OP. It's just a really ugly shade of purple, but it's appropriate for children. Your coworker, on the other hand, has problems.

I think it’s fine.

I’m not sure why you mentioned WiFi only. The sites your kid can access need to be monitored. Uncontrolled screen time can happen with WiFi access.
Limited use and limited apps/websites would be better.

I think it's fine. Most kids aren't going to know the eggplant reference and it doesn't even look like the eggplant emoji.
