I would not purchase anything just to be nice because once you make one purchase she will expect more purchases in the future.

Simply let her know that you are just not interested in the products nor the logistics of how these companies run and to please not ask again.

NO! Do not encourage her. She's both a victim and a perpetrator, since this is how these Ponzi things work. Never buy anything from an MLM. You've got to let it die on the vine.

I just say, I don't purchase from friends or family, It adds a transactional component to the relationship that I avoid.

By saying friends and family, you are implying that isn't a "her" thing, even if it is. If she asks after that she isn't a friend and there is no reason to engage with her.

I tell people straight up that I don’t purchase anything from MLMs on principle.

She should not be messaging your DH. I did not realize Arbonne was still around. My sister did that (among many MLMs) in the early 2000s.

I like my next door neighbor. I like to be friendly with neighbors, to get together from time to time, to let them know when we'll be out of town, to take their trash cans in if they're out of town.

My next door neighbor has messaged me twice about selling Arbonne and some kind of nutrition shakes. Inviting me to parties, telling me about sales she's having. I ignored both messages. Undeterred, she's now messaging DH asking if he'd like her to put together a gift basket for me that he can purchase as a Christmas gift.

I feel bad to ignore her. She's a SAHM and I don't fault her for trying to earn some money. But I hate MLM stuff and don't want to buy it. Should I anyway, just to be a nice neighbor? If not, what should I say?
