I sometimes drive into DC between 2 & 3 PM to pick DC up from school, and it is routinely worse inbound that outbound at that time. I have no earthly idea why, but it is common.

So I've done the reverse commute from DC to McLean for 2 decades.
I don't get why I-66 is so slow in the mornings from Arlington until the Fairfax line, and then in the afternoon until the WL parking deck where traffic mysteriously starts moving? (and I come home at 3:30pm, not at rush hour).
It never used to be this bad.
