The "MCPS HR director no longer employed" thread has a number of posts from people who insist they know what happened because "they're on the inside."

Pretty much all of the forums in dcurbanmom, read like trade guilds.

Yes absolutely. I once had a fierce debate with one who nearly acknowledged their CO role and who cursed me in a couple of replies.

If they read the threads they would know that many people do not care for the regional model but that is not stopping them?

Yes

It was kind of funny because it seemed like there were a couple of feeler posts and later on you'd see some sort of proposal related to it.

One specific instance that comes to mind is that there was a post asking how people would feel about bussing or something along those lines.

Then shortly afterwards the six regional model was proposed.

So I think staff from MCPS do lurk in these boards and use it to try to get a feel for things and sometimes do some gaslighting too.
