The original poster has posted 7 times in that thread. The poster is not exactly sock puppeting, but is very close. The poster does not identify himself as the original poster but doesn't reply to his own posts. But the poster does come across as a third party without explicitly suggesting it.
That poster starts lots of threads, a new one every couple of days. Most with that sort of vague question. But not on the same topic. He covers a lot of different topics.
Questions about affairs have always been one of the most popular topics in that forum.

This term was new to me from being a part of the DCUM community. Jeff, how can you tell that someone is sockputting on a thread?
For example, how many times does the OP sockpuppet on this thread, and others in the same vain. There seems to be a lot of the same threads and comments on this topic recently.
