No, not correct. The coach/team wants to win champs meets.

Not to get off topic too much but that’s because it was a home meet for Madison last year. Although I was wrong about the two years prior…they declined use of Madison’s timing system at least one of those years but did upload results.

The Region times aren't posted publicly, they are sent out by the DSA of the school hosting the specific region. Most coaches should have them, ours sent them out in an email at the beginning of the year.

Sometimes, but not necessarily. If your schools is a competitive team and in a position to win the District/Region meet, then they might swim the swimmer who already has a time in that event to maximize points.

I think it would be rare for a coach to not allow a kid with a state cut to swim the event at regionals. I have (frequently) seen coaches sub in weaker seniors in relays, however, bc they are seniors.

A huge part of the reason why dual meet results aren't posted publicly is because the VHSL requires hand-scored results that are signed by the meet referee.

You get to regions by either placing top 10 at the district meet, or by swimming a Region qualifying time during the season. The qualifying times change slightly each year; your coach should know what they are. Event limits are the same as above.
