DH claims that this is playful but only does it when I am in the kitchen working with open flame or reaching my arms into a hot oven. I have to keep one eye out and stop any cooking if he is in the kitchen. This is an amusing game for him -- but not for me. I think one of the appeals of watching these tradwife blogs is that a women creates a nice dish in her kitchen while free from harassment. That is the real fantasy. I am probably not the only one putting up with this.

No, he will squeeze it in the kitchen but only if we are home alone to test the waters. He doesn't touch it to be playful. I wouldn't care though.

Mine is more of a grabber than a smacker, but it's not in public. More if he thinks my butt looks good in whatever I just put on, or 100% of the time if I'm going up the stairs in our house in front of him.

I think guys who smack or grope their girlfriends'/wives' butts in public are insecure and usually obnoxious. Or just really drunk.

Funny story about this: I recognize I did this to my wife all the time. I'm handsy and she has a great butt. One day she mentioned that she found it annoying and didn't want me to do it any more... she was overstimulated and outtouched. Sucks for me but cool... your body, your rules. I stopped cold turkey and got over it pretty quickly. She lasted about two weeks before admitting that she missed it because the little taps "made her feel seen."

Now I have to consciously give her a little pat every couple of days or so.

This. It's annoying if I'm bent over feeding the dog--he did that once and I almost fell over into the dog food. But when we're already being flirty it's fine.
