My kids graduated from there. They had a good experience. I’m not relating to what is being described here (beyond the need for building repairs). Closing it down permanently? That’s absurd.

Demographics has changed and there is often a total lack of parent support. Parents refuse to pick up the phone and respond to the school for many of the most problematic kids. It easier to have the kid phone from their own device. The parent is more likely to pick up.

Let's see. There's a lot to unpack here.
Demographics
Fewer parents to "look after" kids after school and other times because more going to work outside home.
Working outside home became a necessity.
Inflation.
Coat of living went up.
Quality of humans went down.
Social media influences. YouTube is a curriculum. Who will supervise kids (see above reasons).
Intergenerational trauma.
Shall we go on?

The principal should never be put in charge of another school. Recently, admin got into a screaming match with students during an assembly to discuss the chaos and fighting. About 13 students were thrown out if the assembly. Way to go admin. If a teacher ever handled a situation like this, admin would come down so hard on them for failing to manage their class.

No it was about how the school is falling apart and kept getting promised to get fixed or a new building but it kept getting canceled.
