I think if it’s more than one note I’d ask the guidance counselor to weigh in.

+1. Pure fiction. Stop obsessing about your teenaged daughter's lovelife.

It depends on how many notes she is leaving. I would say if he is getting one per day, that counts as harassment.

Talk to her about that, and then she can decide how to proceed. Hopefully she will just stop.

I did this as a teen. Cute!

I think you should leave her anonymous notes in random places in her room.

My kid was on the receiving end of this, but it was just one note. Kid figured out who had written it but did not approach the letter writer. Just moved on. It wasn’t a big deal.

I get that it’s worrying bc you are afraid she will embarrass herself or have some painful mean rejection but this is the type of things teens do from time to time. I’m sure you did cringey things too as a high schooler. As long as she’s not stalking him I’d let it go.

This is totally normal teenage behavior even if it's going to be mortifying later. Let it happen.

DD, 16, has a crush. Normal enough. But she has been leaving notes in his locker as a "secret admirer" which I just learned today. The notes say things like "I feel like I've always known you" and other odd sentiments. I find this worrying and am worried that DD will get in trouble for harassment. What do I do? I told her to stop but she just said that I "don't understand teen romance." Ick.
