I'm OP, thank you! Maybe the problem is the audiobook, then, and I need to eventually get a print copy. I hate to give up on this book, but I'm really having a hard time grabbing on to any kind of a point.

I bought this for my kindle based on enjoying Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead, and then I realized it's VERY long and uses lots of mixed media that I don't think would work on my kindle. So, I've never read it, but wanted to keep your thread going!

I'm in chapter 4 and struggling to continue. Does it get better? What is the point of this book? I really wanted to like it, after reading Tokarczuk's "Flights."
