I think most men think this but wouldn't say it at least not to a woman they are involved with. But it sounds like you talk about this stuff.
"Find attractive" is not the same as he's actively pursuing them. Who cares. I am mid-40s and recognize I was more attractive at that age range as well.

I agree that this is not an uncommon belief in terms of physical attraction. As a man, I'd probably say more like 22-35, but that's quibbling.

He was probably foolish to admit this, but there is nothing surprising about here. If you enjoy sleeping with him then you should continue. If you are hurt, maybe you are developing feelings for him? In that case you should move on.
