While that may be true, the Navy camps are amazing. It gives you exposure to great coaches and if you are looking to swim for Navy in the future when you get to college this gets you on their radar.
Also, you meet other swimmers which is a bonus versus seeing the same faces at your club practice every day all year. You also get to have fun at a college pool in Annapolis and I think fun is something that keeps swimmers swimming.
For a week long camp I’m pretty sure that it won’t “ruin” your club season. Get out and live a little!!
