JMU has accomplished the incredible, but yeah, they are not good relative to the blue bloods. They looked bad for most of the game against Troy, and they will be slaughtered in the CFP.

Lots of jealousy here. The UVA choke job to a 7-5 middling Duke team is just icing on the cake. How many conference championships does UVA have?

Great for JMU. But it demonstrates the weakness of the current system. James Madison is for sure not better than Alabama, Notre Dame, Miami, or Vanderbilt.

JMU will get blown out when they play Indiana or whoever they face.

None of these teams in inferior conferences have any business in the CFP. They need to do a major revision for next year.

James Madison is Virginia’s “everything school.” Take a look at the thread here about the schools that do the best job onboarding freshman. There are very few things JMU isn’t good at. I’m happy they made the College Football Playoff, but I’m realistic about their chances. I don’t expect to see them go far. Winning that first game would be huge. Hopefully they represent the state well.
