Yes getting sick sucks but at least you have the wknd to recover.

I used to be the kind of person who got every cold around and stayed sick for weeks.

Now I mask - kn95 - whenever I am indoors in public. I have not gotten sick since Jan 2020! It's awesome.

If it's easily curable and goes away rapidly... you really need some perspective here, OP. I'm 45: my friends have had double cancers, and my parents' generation is dying off.

I’m so paranoid I wear a mask even in an uber and everywhere else I’m out in public.

I’m 60 and am being monitored for cancer like everyone else my age. I took an uber last Monday for about an hour and didn’t wear a mask and a day later felt like my throat was getting sore. I didn’t like it at all. Now it’s Saturday and maybe I shall live.

I don’t want to be that dumb who says “how many times do I have to get sick before I get full immunity?”

The answer is … quoting Lindsay Lohan in Mean Girls … “there is no limit” (except when there is actually a limit)

It's a weekend, they come every week. You can't control getting sick. Why waste energy being mad about something you can't control?

Same. DH and DS have it too. DS tested negative for flu and COVID so I’m assuming we all have some virus. I’m feeling stressed bc I have a ton to do before Christmas and have zero energy. I did do some online shopping today.

It might be the flu. Flu A is making the rounds.

Drink some water and get some sleep, another weekend will be here before you know it.
