We have single guy who comes by year round for grass/leaves/pruning. He gets $100 at the end of the year.

I paid $1600 for a huge yard clean up and a ton of mulch. I got them lunch and a case of water. No extra tip. $1600 included the tip.

If you have a full time gardener and they live on your property then they should obviously receive the usual holiday bonuses.
Whoever your head servant is should be able to advise you on what is culturally expected, timing, and amounts.
It is very different in China than South Asia for example. When we had both Christian (Filipino) and Chinese help we tailored it to the individual, Christmas or Chinese New Year as appropriate for the main bonus.
If you are talking about somebody hired to come do a task for an agreed upon amount you just pay them the money and you are done.

When we had a lawn service come out and remove leaves, yes, I tipped them. We have a big lawn, it is not flat, and it took a couple of days. So I gave each person $50.
