Villanova is the Northeastern of Catholic colleges.

Villanova imo has lost some of its mojo due to big drop in US News ranking close to 60 ranking right alongside Penn State.

YES, I know several kids who have gone there in recent years, and they LOVE it.

It definitely skews wealthy. But that social justice component seems to bring it back down to earth a bit. The kids I know are in a wide range of fields and all seem to be doing pretty well with internships, post-college jobs, etc. Plus, they seem to juggle multiple activities while on campus.

I know someone there who is very happy (female sophomore). It's very Greek heavy, though, so if that's not something your child is interested in, it might not be a good fit.

Don’t know much about Villanova but Gtown and HC always seemed a little snobby. Notre Dame kids more down to earth.

Similar demographics to BC both as opposed to ND, Georgetown and Holy Cross which were the only old boarding school Catholic colleges.

Have a niece and a nephew there now- having the time of their lives, so happy. And I am a proud alumna with 30+ years of friends still, texting with my roommate daily!

Attracts a similar demographic as BC and Holy Cross but way more kids from NY/NJ

Its the BC of Philadelphia.

All of my friends with kids currently at Villanova love it. They’re sophomores. I am sure that they had an adjustment period first semester freshman year, but what school doesn’t?

Does anyone have a current student there? All the alums I know loved it but DS has a friend who is a current freshman there who wants to transfer. We don’t otherwise know kids currently there so are curious - is it a happy spot? For example, while I know this is another tier in terms of rigor etc all the kids we know at Providence seem to love it!
