Madison is a very sporty school. I would be surprised if any sports are no-cut.

As far as I can remember, freshman football, XC/track and field, and crew are no cut. There may be some other freshman teams that are, as well, but I don’t know for sure.

But rowing is historically a public school
sport in the DC region and funding/dues are via fundraising.

Dive! It often gets overlooked.

It very much depends on the school & district. FCPS doesn’t mandate no cut sports while some districts require a no cut sport each season. Large schools have cuts in nearly every sport. Track/cross country tend to be fairly accessible. I’ve been told that it’s a matter of space for some sports + equipment for others (they have a certain number of football helmets…)

I don't know anything about rowing, but sailing is not rich and/or inaccessible. Check out community sailing programs if you're interested.

Yep. Sailing is a blue collar sport IMO.

Football is no cut at my MoCo high school.

At our high school the following sports seem to be no-cut

Football
Cross Country
Indoor and Outdoor Track
Wrestling
Rowing (Club, so you have to pay)

Plus there is an active ultimate frisbee team that is club, but I think not that expensive.

There may be some female only sports too. I only have boys.

Track/indoor track/XC. Specifically distance running; sprinting sometimes does cut.
