The most prim and proper and extremely kind woman I know went to Colorado college. Liberal married to a career officer in the military. Salt of the earth.

Colorado college is usually ranked in the top 5 colleges for the wealthiest student bodies. A truly rich kids school.

I've always wondered how the block system works for STEM and also writing-intensive classes.

My hubby is an alum. The block program is unique. Absolutely loved it (siblings went to Brown and Wesleyan) he wanted out of NE for college. Still engaged with Frat Brothers and alumni. Two of our friend’s kids have gone, one a ‘24 grad and the other a current junior- both loved/love it.
For the right student it’s amazing.

A family friend has a daughter attending who loves it. The cost of attendance is pretty high for families who don’t qualify for financial aid. The school’s website describes its annual cost of attendance as $94k per year which gave us pause. It makes CU-Boulder ($64k OOS) seem downright affordable.

The block system is one thing that attracts DC. DC likes focusing on one thing only at a time, it's a good fit.

I know four people who went and they all loved it. The block system allows for some great travel with your classes and there’s almost 365 days of sunshine which helps mitigate the cold. Colorado Springs was underwhelming when I went for a graduation 15 years ago but I hear it’s improved. It’s on my kids lists and I’d be good with sending a student there

Oh. To bad. Trying to get a feel for it. Same. More I look into it the more I like.

It’s one of DC’s EA schools but I refrain from asking questions here because moms are really harsh about Colorado. LOL

Does anyone have any insight into CC? DS wants to go badly, but not to sure what to make of it.
