We had my daughter's birthday party at Sport Rock last year and the kids LOVED it! They do a great job - only a couple of the kids had climbed before but they all had a great time. We have been to Climb Zone once and it was crowded and dirty and my kids hated it.

DC Bouldering is also an option for a climbing party.

Climb zone is great for all skill levels.

My DD attended a rock climbing party at Sportrock in K or first, and ended up getting into rock climbing, whereas the original birthday girl lost interest.

If your DD's friends spend a lot of time on the monkey bars at the school playground, they will have fun at Sportrock.

We've done Climbzone as well and yes, it's a lot more chaotic.

We had my daughter’s 8th birthday at Climbzone and have had one in the past at Earthtreks when it was still called that. The problem with top roping is that kids have to wait. Climbzone they can do themselves and there are some other activities (although the arcade also has its cons). I would do Climbzone for that age.

That is a great age for a rock climbing party! I haven't had parties are either place but at climbzone the kids can do everything themselves with the auto belay. There is also a soft play area that still entertains my 7 year old, and arcade games. Main worry with climbzone would be the distance.

6 & 7 seems young for sport rock.

I've never been to Sportrock but Climbzone is very beginner friendly. My kid went there for a birthday party in second grade and had a blast.

DD has been top rope climbing for 1 year at sport rock. Is it bad to host 7th birthday party there next year? Will it better if it is hosted in climbzone at laurel which is more far away? We have not been at climbzone, is it chaotic with kids and a lot more fun/easier to climb for newbie kid/ beginners on weekend? Do many kids at 6/7 do or enjoy rock climbing? Most of the invites will be girls, and a few will be boys.

Would your 6/7 year old boy/girl interested in these type of birthday party? I am a bit worried.
