Your post is a tad misleading. A metal strainer is not the only way. Many organic brands use bleach free non plastic tea bags. I use bleach free tea bags that have no glue, are odorless, biodegradable & compostable

I have been a tea person for decades, and ITA with this. Since it was pointed out to me that this is the case, I actually find I have an aversion to teat bags. The "fancy" ones that look silky are the worst offenders.

Same. And I unknowingly drank tons of tea from the microplastic bags for years.

Forte teas. They are expensive but a really nice gift.

I like Republic of Tea a lot too.

Amazon has a surprising good selection if you search there.
